Job summary

Citi in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an experienced UI Developer to join the Applications Development team. You will design and implement UI solutions, ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility, and collaborate with multiple management teams to deploy new products and process improvements.

The role emphasizes expert Angular/TypeScript skills, strong problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, with a focus on high-quality, scalable front-end systems.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in UI development
• Expert-level proficiency in Angular
• Deep understanding of TypeScript, HTML, and CSS3
• Extensive knowledge of core JavaScript concepts and design patterns
• Proven experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility best practices (WCAG)
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and a passion for exploring new technologies
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

• Partner with management teams to integrate functions and define system enhancements for new products and processes
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of business and system processes and industry standards
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure designs align with architecture blueprint
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop coding/testing/implementation standards
• Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to meet business goals
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Assess risk in business decisions and drive compliance with laws, rules and Citi policies
