Job summary

The National Audubon Society seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to serve as Vice President and Executive Director of Audubon Washington, guiding conservation strategy, policy, fundraising and stakeholder engagement across Washington state. The role leads a talented team, collaborates with national leadership, chapters and partners to expand our impact in the Pacific Northwest.

The Executive Director will drive durable conservation solutions, grow our bipartisan network, and deliver results

Qualifications

• 10+ years in organizational leadership.
• 3+ years as enterprise executive with accountability over multiple programs/regions.
• Experience fundraising with major donors, foundations and government funders.
• Public policy development and advocacy experience preferred.
• Commitment to an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Audubon Washington across conservation, policy, and operations.
• Lead fundraising and external relations to grow contributions and visibility.
• Manage finances, programs and staff to achieve goals.
• Collaborate with chapters, partners, and national leadership to implement strategy.
• Represent Audubon Washington to funders, policymakers and the public.
