Job summary

Goldman Sachs in New York seeks a Vice President to lead Financial Crime Compliance for Digital Assets. You will define and execute FCC strategy, assess AML, sanctions, and fraud risks across products, services, and clients, collaborating with Legal, Internal Audit, Operations, and Technology.

You will oversee onboarding of digital asset vendors, develop controls, policies, training, and governance materials, and engage regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Financial Crime Compliance or related control function.
• Knowledge of AML, sanctions and fraud risk management frameworks.
• Experience building out compliance controls for digital assets.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; legal/financial/risk/compliance background preferred.
• Ability to translate evolving regulatory expectations into practical guidance and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior FCC point of contact for digital assets matters and contribute to the global FCC Digital Assets framework.
• Identify and assess money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, and other illicit finance risks.
• Provide risk-based advice across product and client lifecycle, including new business initiatives and client onboarding.
• Lead or support onboarding/ integration of digital asset vendors for blockchain analytics/services.
• Design, oversee, and improve controls for customer due diligence, sanctions screening, monitoring and investigations.
• Develop understanding of blockchain, wallets, custody models, token structures and smart contracts to identify risks.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into practical requirements and action plans.
• Engage regulators, auditors, and other reviewers; prepare for examinations and remediation.
