Job summary

Social Capital Resources is seeking a VP-level Credit Officer for a Midtown Manhattan bank. The role oversees the preparation of credit reports, ensures adherence to internal controls, and supports audits with FRB and DFS examinations.

You will monitor portfolio trends, analyze sectors, and escalate risks promptly to protect the credit portfolio. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in credit at a bank, preferably in commercial banking, and a track record in risk management

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely credit reports in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, risk management standards, and internal controls.
• Prepare documentation and reports for audits, including FRB and DFS examinations.
• Monitor and analyze the credit portfolio, identifying key trends and risks.
• Maintain accuracy and quality of credit data and reporting.
• Conduct sector, industry, and portfolio analysis with stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, manage, and escalate credit and operational risks promptly.
• Support additional credit risk, portfolio management and reporting needs as portfolio grows.
