Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Review Appraiser to join the Real Estate Credit Risk team. The role can be located in New York City or Pittsburgh, PA, and will oversee the appraisal review process for a nationwide CRE portfolio within AED.

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Strong understanding of CRE appraisal principles and valuation methods.
• Experience with USPAP, FIRREA and interagency guidance.

Responsibilities

• Review third‑party CRE appraisals for reasonableness of assumptions and conclusions.
• Prepare appraisal reviews and internal scorecards for senior management.
• Coordinate with external appraisers and internal stakeholders to manage orders and workflow.
• Support market research and improve appraisal review processes and SOPs.
