Job summary

Mizuho Americas is seeking a Vice President to join the Public Relations team within Corporate Communications & Marketing. The role concentrates on multi-channel PR campaigns to elevate the Mizuho brand and showcase our capabilities to clients and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years in PR for financial services, strong media relations, and the ability to work across departments and with external agencies. Hybrid work and a discretionary bonus are available.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in public relations with deep experience supporting financial services organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to discuss markets and complex financial concepts with confidence.
• Strong relationship management skills; cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive team player with interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience working with press, media, and executives to drive brand visibility.

Responsibilities

• Support multi-channel PR strategies to shape the Mizuho brand and promote businesses and spokespeople.
• Manage day-to-day media relations for Equities, Fixed Income, IB, Capital Markets, Research, Economics, and firm initiatives.
• Coordinate with marketing teams and external agencies; staff press interviews and arrange broadcast appearances.
• Cultivate relationships with target financial media; identify opportunities and manage issues.
• Deliver projects that align with brand identity and business objectives.
