Job summary

NYCEDC is seeking a Vice President, Community Partnerships to lead strategies that build trust, connect community priorities to projects, and advance equitable growth across a portfolio of initiatives.

You will oversee engagement, transparency, and participatory planning, manage staff, cultivate relationships with community orgs and government partners, and translate feedback into actionable recommendations that publicize measurable benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in public policy, urban planning, political science, community development, public administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience working with elected officials, government affairs, public agencies, community engagement, public policy, and/or campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of NYCEDC's community partnership and impact and belonging strategies, embedding equity and measurable public benefit.
• Oversee engagement, transparency, community benefits, and participatory planning initiatives across projects and programs.
• Design inclusive systems that expand stakeholder participation and institutionalize community input in planning and decision-making.
• Identify community concerns and translate feedback into recommendations, workplans, and decision-making inputs.
• Oversee community benefits planning and tracking to support measurable public benefit and neighborhood priorities.
• Provide community-centered leadership by building trusted relationships with community-based orgs, civic leaders, and government agencies.
