Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking an experienced AVP-level leader to supervise loan operations and oversee daily client portfolio activities. You will mentor staff, balance workloads, and uphold high service standards across the team.

The role requires 8+ years in real estate finance, strong Excel and data skills, and a proactive approach to process improvements. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields: real estate, finance/accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of industry or relevant experience; AVP level or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years in CRE, cash management, loan servicing or escrow management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workflow and ensure staff is adequately utilized.
• Train new team members and maintain audit history.
• Oversee daily operations and respond to inquiries from borrowers/investors/third parties.
• Identify performance trends and implement process improvements.

This is a supervisory role with direct reports. You will manage the overall operations of an assigned Loan Operations function within Situs Asset Management (SAM) and oversee daily operations for clients’ portfolios of commercial real estate loans. Your duties include mentoring the team, ensuring equitable workload distribution, and maintaining high standards of service.

Essential Job Functions

• Monitor workflow to ensure staff is adequately utilized
• Manage research requests and support the asset management team in addressing borrower, investor or third‑party inquiries
• Train new team members
• Maintain visibility into the status of daily task assignments, ensuring timely and accurate completion, approval by proper personnel, and distribution to appropriate client personnel with proper audit history
• Raise potential issues to management in a timely manner (e.g., staffing, performance, or servicing standards)
• Identify performance trends and potential enhancements to improve processes (e.g., servicing workflow enhancements, QC enhancements, reporting automation)
• Review and approve procedures related to operations as assigned by senior management
• Represent the company in resolving non‑compliant issues through verbal and written communication with internal and external parties
• Periodically evaluate resources to ensure specific goals and deadlines are achievable
• Perform QC on completed products and communicate results to team members
• Stay abreast of changes in industry standards

• Perform other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; preferred fields of study: real estate, finance/accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent
• 5–7 years of experience in commercial real estate, cash management, loan servicing or escrow management
• High comfort level with use of industry‑related software systems
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and other functions to reconcile data
• Ability to multitask, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities, good judgment, strategic and process thinking
• High degree of professionalism
• Ability to work as a team player
• Pro‑active approach to problem recognition and resolution
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage direct reports
• Work schedule may require adjustments, including evenings and weekends to meet deadlines

The annual full‑time base salary range for this role is $100,000.00‑$145,000.00. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and assessment of education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and market data. Certain positions may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. SitusAMC offers PTO, paid holidays and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401(k).
