Allegheny Health Network seeks an accomplished Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer (VP/CMIO) to architect the digital future of care delivery. This executive will drive the 'Operating System for Health' across AHN’s clinical footprint and shape the Living Health model within Highmark Health’s ecosystem.
The role requires deep expertise in clinical informatics, enterprise IT strategy, and cross-functional leadership, with ongoing clinical practice engagement and strong governance
Qualifications
- MD/DO required; extensive expertise in enterprise EHR implementations.
- 5+ years leading clinical informatics initiatives in IDN/health system.
- Experience with value-based contracts, risk adjustment, and claims data.
Responsibilities
- Drive digital transformation, innovation, and workflow optimization; lead organizational changes for new technology adoption.
- Oversee hiring decisions, coaching, budget management, and day-to-day team operations.
- Develop and govern the clinical informatics strategy and governance; manage vendor relationships and enterprise standards.
- Maintain part-time clinical practice to stay connected with clinical workflows and serve as liaison among clinical, health plan, and technology divisions.
- Advance population health analytics and data integrity while ensuring HIPAA and relevant regulations compliance.
