Who You Are

You are a seasoned construction leader with a passion for delivering complex, high‑value infrastructure projects. With a strong background in mission‑critical environments, you thrive in fast‑paced settings that demand technical precision, strategic foresight, and cross‑functional collaboration. You combine deep industry experience with a hands‑on approach, guiding diverse teams toward project success. You’re driven by a commitment to excellence, an eye for risk mitigation, and a belief in building infrastructure that enables the future of digital innovation.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Construction Project Manager at Galaxy’s Helios campus in Afton, TX, you will lead the delivery of multiple data center phases from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover to operations. You’ll drive the successful execution of major infrastructure projects by coordinating general contractors, engineers, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee Field Execution: Manage daily construction activities on‑site, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with design documents and Galaxy’s standards.
  • Coordinate Contractors and Vendors: Direct general contractors, trade partners, and vendors to ensure alignment with project milestones, quality expectations, and safety protocols.
  • Support Commissioning and Turnover: Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support system commissioning, testing, and seamless turnover of facilities.
  • Drive Safety Culture: Enforce Galaxy’s safety standards and partner with internal and contractor safety teams to maintain a zero‑incident work environment.
  • Manage Schedules and Progress: Monitor construction progress against the master schedule, identify potential delays, and coordinate mitigation strategies to maintain critical timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities meet Galaxy’s QA/QC standards and design specifications, and elevate issues as needed.
  • Document and Issue Resolution: Lead site‑based resolution of RFIs, field issues, and change management processes in coordination with engineering and project controls.
  • Support Procurement and Logistics: Coordinate delivery and installation of owner‑furnished contractor installed equipment (OFCI) such as UPS, generators, chillers, switchgear and other materials to avoid impacts to the construction schedule.
  • Cost and Change Control: Provide input on pay application reviews, change orders, and budget tracking to support accurate cost control and forecasting.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain close communication with Galaxy’s internal teams including design, engineering, construction, operations, and security to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement Lean and Prefab Strategies: Support Galaxy’s initiatives around modularization, prefabrication, and LEAN delivery methods to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
  • Ensure Regulatory and Code Compliance: Work with local authorities, inspectors, and consultants to ensure all construction activities meet applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large‑scale infrastructure or mission‑critical projects (data center, industrial, or utility‑scale).
  • Deep understanding of construction delivery models, risk management, and vendor oversight.
  • Technical fluency across MEP, civil, and structural systems.
  • Proven success managing OFCI equipment and coordinating commissioning efforts.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, BIM 360, Bluebeam, MS Project, and SharePoint.
  • PMP, LEED, or related certifications preferred.
  • 50% travel to site locations.
What You Bring
  • A strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach to solving complex construction challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and executional excellence.
  • Passion for building world‑class infrastructure that supports the growth of the digital economy.
