Job summary

Moody’s is seeking a Business Resilience VP to lead resilience and business continuity activities for the Moody’s Ratings CO0 Group, reporting to the COO. The role focuses on strengthening resilience posture, developing policies, and coordinating cross‑functional efforts with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business resilience and business continuity initiatives for Moody's Ratings.
  • Develop and manage BCM program, framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate BIA/BCP refresh with key stakeholders and challenge where needed.
  • Develop BCP testing exercises and refine based on results.
  • Manage FusionRM usage and analytics for resilience.
  • Create training programs to raise organizational awareness.
  • Coordinate with Shared Services Global Business Resilience as required.
  • Support lessons-learned exercises after interruptions.

Skills And Competencies
  • 10+ years of experience leading multi-jurisdiction, risk management and controls-focused initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the credit rating business
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in a highly consultative and effective manner with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), relationship-building, and change-leadership capabilities with the ability to drive adoption across diverse, global, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong project and business process management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to change quickly
  • Strong data analysis, visualization, and reporting dashboard capabilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI‑powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
  • Knowledge of business resilience, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery initiatives within a regulated environment a plus
  • Proficient with enterprise business resilience platforms (FusionRM a plus)
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Responsibilities

The Business Resilience VP is an experienced leader and key member of the Moody's Ratings COO Group responsible for leading business resilience and business continuity planning initiatives for the credit rating agency.

  • Support the Business Resilience SVP with activities focused on enhancing Moody's Ratings' business resilience posture, including the development, management, and implementation of Moody's Ratings' business continuity program, framework, policies, and procedures
  • Develop and coordinate agenda and materials for the monthly Moody's Ratings Business Resilience Risk Committee
  • Coordinate and manage key stakeholders in the annual refresh of Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP), reviewing and challenging to refine as needed
  • Develop and support BCP testing exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity plans and collaborate with key stakeholders to refine them as needed
  • Manage and advance Moody's Ratings' use of FusionRM, the enterprise business resilience platform
  • Develop and support training programs to enhance organizational awareness of business continuity best practices
  • Support lessons-learned exercises following business interruption incidents
  • Coordinate business resilience initiatives with Moody's Shared Services Global Business Resilience, as required
About The Team

The Moody's Ratings COO Group coordinates strategic effectiveness and governance activities across the core business and manages investments in domestic credit rating agencies. The COO Group coordinates responses to regulatory initiatives and ensures the integration of organizational governance and resilience, including acting as an interface with the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense to drive preparedness and closure of remediation issues. By joining this team, you will contribute to high-impact work that strengthens Moody's Ratings' operational foundation and positions the organization for continued growth in an increasingly complex risk environment.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $163,300.00 - $236,800.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position.
