Job summary

Gordon State College invites applications for a Vice President for Business & Operations, the Chief Business Officer and member of the President’s leadership team. The role guides financial health, facilities, auxiliary services, and campus operations in Barnesville, GA.

Reporting to the President, the VP will translate strategic priorities into sustainable operations, lead budgeting, and partner with shared governance to advance student success and regional impact.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in higher education.
• Demonstrated record of effective financial management.
• Experience supervising multiple administrative or business service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, reporting, stewardship, audits.
• Provide executive oversight for facilities, housing, dining and auxiliary services, and other campus operations.
• Oversee purchasing, public safety, risk and compliance within the division.
• Advise the President and Cabinet, and represent the College with external boards and partners.
