Job Overview

As a Branch Operations Manager for International Personal Banking at Citi, you will lead and deliver branch channel operations that directly support one of the world's most expansive wealth platforms — serving clients from affluent individuals to ultra-high net worth families and family offices. Sitting within Citi's Wealth division, which spans Citigold, Citi Private Bank, and Wealth at Work, this role carries full accountability for operational performance, team leadership, and the consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes across the branch channel segment.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch channel operations for International Personal Banking, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of end results across all operational processes within scope.
• Resolve complex operational problems and high-value transactions, drawing on deep knowledge of retail banking policies and procedures to reach sound, well-reasoned outcomes.
• Manage full ownership of one or more operational processes, procedures, or reports, maintaining quality standards and acting as the subject matter authority on cross‑functional projects and deliverables.
• Lead a team with full management responsibility, covering performance evaluation, compensation decisions, hiring, and budget oversight to ensure the team delivers consistently against business objectives.
• Coordinate short-term resource planning and contribute to budget formulation to ensure the team is effectively structured to meet operational demands.
• Monitor operational activity to identify and elevate control issues promptly, embedding a culture of accountability and ensuring all team members operate within applicable regulatory and policy requirements.
• Influence colleagues across functions through clear communication and sound judgement, ensuring operational standards are understood and applied consistently across teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 6 to 10 years of experience in banking or financial services operations, with demonstrable expertise in branch or retail banking environments.
• Extensive knowledge of retail banking operations, including familiarity with branch channel processes, transaction management, and operational controls.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, including experience with performance management, hiring decisions, and budget accountability.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and regulatory requirements to complex operational scenarios, ensuring compliant and well‑governed outcomes.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to guide colleagues across functions and present clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, or Operations Management.
• Experience working across international banking operations or within a wealth management or private banking environment.
• Familiarity with cross‑functional programme or project delivery in a regulated financial services setting.
