Job summary

Tubi is seeking a Vice President, Associate General Counsel to lead the Content Legal team across acquisitions and original content. You will advise on licensing, distribution, development and talent agreements, and partner with Marketing, Sales, Product and Finance, as well as Fox teams.

The role requires 15+ years of legal experience, strong leadership, and a track record negotiating complex content deals and managing a high-performing team. Remote work from a US location is available.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of legal experience across law firm and entertainment/tech company.
• 5+ years coaching and developing a team of attorneys.
• Experience negotiating content acquisition and distribution agreements.
• Experience drafting development/production agreements for original, licensed, and co-produced content.
• Experience in combined business and legal affairs roles.
• Understanding of digital rights management issues.
• Familiarity with union and non-union labor issues, music clearances, IP and risk management.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills balancing legal protections with business needs.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Executive presence and strong team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as leadership role model for the Content Legal team and across Tubi.
• Develop understanding of Tubi’s business and provide business-forward legal advice.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop positions on legal issues and risk tolerance.
• Develop training and processes for the Content Legal team and other legal verticals.
• Draft, review, and negotiate content-related agreements including licensing, distribution, production services, and co-productions.
• Keep stakeholders apprised of negotiation status and escalate to GC as appropriate.
