Houston First Corporation seeks a visionary VP, Assistant General Manager to lead the George R. Brown Convention Center operations and drive strategic initiatives.

You will collaborate with the CVE and executive team to ensure exceptional client experiences and operational excellence across events and services. Candidates should bring a strong background in venue management, financial stewardship, and team leadership to shape growth, modernization, and guest satisfaction at a premier convention

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in senior management within convention centers or large public venues.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with internal and external stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily operations of GRB and Avenida Plaza.
• Manage Convention Services, Guest Services, Operations and contractor services.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls for the venue.
• Oversee contract management, policy development, and compliance.
• Drive sales, marketing collaboration, and client relations to grow venue business.
• Provide leadership and development for management and staff.
• Prepare comprehensive management reports and plans.
• Lead special projects and stay ahead of industry trends.
