Job summary

BerlinRosen is seeking a Vice President to join the Cities team in New York City on a hybrid basis. You will counsel clients across our practice, mentor junior staff, and shape strategic communications campaigns.

The role emphasizes leadership, business development, and strong media relationships in arts and culture. You will guide multiple clients and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of strategic communications experience: in-house, media or journalism; PR agency preferred.
• Deep media relations experience with an interest in arts and culture.
• Proven people management experience with diverse, inclusive teams.
• Creative, solutions-focused problem solving tailored to client needs.
• Exceptional client service with a client-first mindset.
• Strong written and oral communication with editing and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set and advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile clients.
• Manage client communications daily: setting expectations, escalating urgent needs, building and maintaining relationships.
• Lead account teams to ensure quality of work, goals and deadlines with strong ROI.
• Engage and maintain relationships with key reporters.
• Write and edit press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points and communications plans.
• Mentor and lead staff through feedback and professional growth.
• Drive business development and lead RFP responses.
