iCapital seeks a Vice President Artificial Intelligence Engineer to lead the design, delivery, and scale of production-grade AI systems within Software Engineering. You will own major workstreams, mentor engineers, and partner with product, operations, and business teams to translate needs into robust solutions.

The role requires 7+ years shipping complex AI systems, strong Python/AWS expertise, and a track record of architectural leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and deploying production AI/ML systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices.
• Deep expertise building production AI solutions, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, conversational AI, document intelligence, and agentic workflows.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating end-to-end ML pipelines in production environments.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, data quality, and AI system evaluation.
• Experience leading technical design and architectural decisions, code reviews, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience across multiple AI domains including LLM systems, document intelligence, and ML platforms.
• Experience in FinTech or regulated document-heavy environments preferred.
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead the architecture and delivery of production AI systems including IDP, knowledge systems, agentic orchestration, conversational AI, and generative AI.
• Own AI projects end-to-end from scoping to deployment and ongoing improvement, delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Drive technical design and architectural decisions, API design, and infrastructure patterns across the AI/ML platform.
• Architect evaluation frameworks, metrics, datasets, and versioning for reproducibility and improvement.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Legal, and Business teams to translate requirements and communicate tradeoffs.
• Mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and collaboration.
• Identify systemic problems and improve team processes to raise velocity and reduce debt.
