Job summary

Scout Motors in Charlotte, NC is seeking an advanced leader to head verification and validation for our software-defined vehicle program. You will build a high-performing V&V organization across systems, software, hardware, and vehicle integration, driving model-based, AI-enabled, and data-driven validation across the development lifecycle.

The role requires a Master/Ph.D. in engineering, 15+ years automotive V&V experience, and a track record of transforming validation toolchains.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in automotive engineering with V&V leadership experience.
• Proven track record transforming validation toward model-based, AI-enabled approaches.
• Deep knowledge of MBSE, SysML v2, digital thread, and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward-looking verification and validation strategy.
• Build and lead a high-performing V&V organization across systems, software, hardware, and vehicle integration.
• Establish and scale validation frameworks with digital twins, simulation, HiL/SiL/MiL, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with systems engineering, software, hardware, product, and quality teams for end-to-end traceability.
• Drive adoption of MBSE, digital thread, AI-assisted test generation, and GenAI for reviews.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, SOTIF, cybersecurity, and quality standards.
