  • Analyse financial results, identify unusual trends, unexplained movements, or potential accounting issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Validate the integrity of balance sheet reconciliations and assess the quality of reported financial information.
  • Ensure financial results are supported by robust analytical review prior to Group reporting.
Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with FP&A to explain actual financial performance, accounting impacts, and key drivers of results.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to ensure accounting outcomes appropriately reflect commercial activities and operational decisions.
  • Support business initiatives by providing accounting insight into complex transactions and organizational changes.
  • Act as the primary accounting advisor for legal entity financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and improve financial transparency.
  • Support internal and external audit activities relating to entity accounting.
Cross-functional Leadership
  • Work collaboratively with the VP Accounting Operations to ensure high-quality accounting execution, the VP Accounting Policy on technical accounting matters and implementation of new accounting standards, and the VP External Reporting to support statutory and Group reporting requirements.
  • Drive alignment across the broader Accounting & Reporting function.
  • Lead initiatives to improve reporting quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial excellence.
  • Develop and mentor members of the Accounting & Reporting team.
  • Champion best practices in financial review, governance, and analytical accounting.
About You

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to identify accounting risks and financial trends.
  • Excellent understanding of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss management.

  • Experience operating within a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing finance teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting within a complex multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements.
