Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days, participate in annual LifeWise Summit, attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or Meet-Up each year, check LifeWise email for updates.
• Teach LifeWise Classes: plan lessons using LifeWise curriculum, apply policies, maintain age-appropriate, redemptive classroom practices, engage students and build relationships.
• Maintain Records: keep attendance, rosters, health notes, and materials for substitutes.
• Maintain the Classroom: foster a culture of learning, keep a clean and organized space, know emergency procedures, procure supplies as needed.
• Communicate: act as LifeWise ambassador, attend events, coordinate with school personnel, inform volunteers of schedules, share updates and photos with director.

Job Description

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
  • Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and prior to teaching in the LifeWise classroom
  • Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit each year
  • Attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or one LifeWise Meet-Up per year
  • Stay up to date on training and updates by regularly checking LifeWise email
• Teach LifeWise Classes
  • Utilize the LifeWise curriculum to lesson plan and map out curriculum customization

  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using only LifeWise curriculum
  • Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly
  • Cultivate an organized and encouraging classroom environment through various teaching strategies and discipline that is redemptive in nature

  • Purchase classroom supplies as neede using funds provided by the program director

  • Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
  • Attend events as available or requested by the program director
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with school personnel to stay apprised of class schedule changes and ensure student well-being
  • Build relationships with volunteers and keep them apprised of schedule changes
  • Submit regular updates, stories and photos to the program director
  • Promote and communicate LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions, ensuring alignment with the organization's core values and beliefs
