The Opportunity Alliance in South Portland is seeking a Volunteer Program Coordinator for the Senior Volunteer Programs (FGP/SCP). The role will provide professional volunteer management for volunteers age 55+ across multiple sites, including recruitment, screening, placements, supervision and recognition.
This Full-Time, on-site position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with occasional local travel to program sites.
Pay rate : $20 - $23/hour
Location : South Portland, primarily on-site with some potential Position will be primarily on site, with some local travel to program sites.
Schedule : Full-Time, 32 hours/week.
The Senior Volunteer Program's Volunteer Program Coordinator provides professional volunteer management for the Senior Volunteer Programs including recruitment, screening, interviewing, placements, supervision and recognition of older volunteers age 55+ volunteering in organizations, schools and private homes in York, Cumberland and York Counties. This position contributes to the accomplishment of The Opportunity Alliance's mission through the provision of direct service to Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions. This position will staff a committee of the Senior Volunteer Advisory Council. Work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the supervision of the Senior Volunteer Program Director.
