Location and Details
  • Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
  • Duration: 4-12 weeks
  • Cost: from 700 GBP per week
  • Fee Includes: all food, accommodation, pre-departure + in-country support, orientation and all project related activities
  • Does Not Include: flights, travel insurance, personal spending, visas and vaccinations
Daily Life and Responsibilities
  • Teach English to Buddhist monks in the monastery through one-on-one conversational classes with young and adult learners.
  • Share language skills by teaching in English and Chinese and support cross-cultural exchange.
  • Live in monastery accommodations following an introductory week in Kathmandu, sharing a comfortable room with fellow participants in the Tinchuli neighborhood of Boudha.
  • Engage in activities that foster understanding of Buddhism and spirituality, enhancing personal growth.
