Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated teacher to share the gospel through LifeWise curriculum in public school classrooms. The role emphasizes strong classroom management, relational teaching, and ongoing engagement with students and families.

The ideal candidate demonstrates active church participation, clear communication, and a compassionate, redemptive teaching style aligned with LifeWise beliefs. Training, certification, and community involvement are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days and participate in LifeWise Summit.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them.
• Maintain attendance and class rosters, health concerns and permissions as noted.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and caring classroom environment and manage supplies.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director about schedule changes and student well-being
