Job summary

Seamar is seeking a Volunteer AmeriCorps Patient Health Navigator in Bellingham. This full-time position provides a stipend and supports patients in accessing appropriate care while navigating health system barriers.

With a commitment to community service, members will engage in health education and outreach activities, create informational materials, and assist with preventive health screenings and referrals. Strong bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to participate in community outreach and health projects.
• Ability to assist patients to access care and navigate health system barriers.
• Participate in mandatory trainings and service projects.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and assist patients in making referrals.
• Create community resource guides and educational materials.
• Collaborate with Sea Mar staff for patient screenings and outreach.
