Job summary

i9 Sports is seeking a Volleyball Sports Coordinator in Honolulu to enhance the experience for players and coaches. You will build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while ensuring that instructional aspects are delivered, observed, and assessed across all age groups and skill levels.

You will hands-on participate with practices and games, coordinating and executing all volleyball sessions, while maintaining a positive attitude and engaging with families throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required for coaching and coordinating with players, parents, and volunteers.
• Experience coaching volleyball and knowledge of sport-specific drills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and solve problems.
• Able to take charge to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and strong relationship-building with stakeholders.
• Weekend and some evenings availability for the season (approx. 7 weeks).
• Must pass National Criminal Background Check.
• Season Dates: Oct 25-Dec 6, Jan 25-Mar 7.

Responsibilities

• Teach core skills and drills (passing, serving, setting, and hitting).
• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
• Demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values.
• Supervise the overall operation of volleyball on game day.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior engagement with players, coaches, and parents.

Job Summary

The Volleyball Sports Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. The Sports Coordinator will need to build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Observing, assessing, and assisting our coaches is paramount. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skill levels. The volleyball sports coordinator will ensure coordination and full execution of all volleyball sessions

• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
• Season Dates: Oct 25-Dec 6, Jan 25-Mar 7

Compensation: $22.00 per hour
