Job summary

Higley Unified School District's Cooley Middle School in Gilbert, AZ seeks a part-time Volleyball Coach for Boys and Girls. You will supervise and instruct volleyball activities, coordinate practices after school, and promote sportsmanship in accordance with AIA bylaws.

The ideal candidate holds valid Arizona teaching or coaching credentials (or NFHS Level I) and has coaching experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of working with student-athletes and parents.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Arizona Teacher Certification with endorsed area or Arizona Coaching Certificate, or NFHS Level I Certification.
• Experience with the sport (coaching and playing).
• Great communication skills.
• NFHS Certificate.
• No convictions for felonies or crimes against children.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold valid Arizona Teacher Certification with approved area/endorsement as needed for position or Arizona Coaching Certificate, or have completed each of the following criteria from the National Federation of State High School Associations online at nfhslearn.com (Level I Certification): Fundamentals of Coaching – First Aid/CPR – Sport Specific course or teaching sport skills if sport is not offered.
