Job summary

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a fun, experienced Voice/Piano/Guitar teacher to teach in-person at our Lake Forest, CA studio (Glee Music Academy). Lessons run Mon-Fri 1-8pm and Sat 9am-2pm; teachers set their availability within open hours, with preference for consistency. Ideal candidates hold a degree in music performance or pedagogy, love teaching, and have experience with young musicians.

Reliability and a routine background check are required. Instructor pay ranges from $32-$36/hour.

Qualifications

  • Punctual, reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.
  • Experience with students through voice changes/maturity preferred.
  • Comfort teaching in-person and possibly other instruments when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Teach voice, piano, and guitar in-person at the Lake Forest studio during operating hours.
  • Take over existing students from a departing teacher and maintain continuity.
  • Set availability within the school hours (Mon-Fri 1-8pm, Sat 9am-2pm).
  • Support students with diverse needs, including homebound or remotely taught when applicable.
  • Maintain punctuality and professional demeanor; ensure reliable transportation when needed.

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Voice/Piano/Guitar teacher to teach part-time for our Lake Forest, CA school Glee Music Academy. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON at our studio! The ability to teach additional instruments (bass guitar, ukulele, etc.) is a plus.

We are currently looking for a teacher to take over students from a departing teacher with lessons within our operating hours of Monday-Friday 1-8pm and Saturdays 9am-2pm. Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Ideal voice candidates will have experience working with students through voice changes/maturity. Preferred experience with students with mental and intellectual disabilities, some of which are homebound and taught virtually or in-home.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $32-$36/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
