Job summary

Meridian Music School in Carmel, IN is seeking a passionate VoiceTeacher to join as a part-time instructor. You will provide one-on-one voice lessons, develop customized plans, and foster a positive learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music or Music Education, has proven voice-teaching experience, and demonstrates strong voice performance and music theory knowledge.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Determining student goals and objectives, and discussing lesson details with them.
• Structuring individual lessons based on client preferences and goals.
• Providing students with appropriate materials and resources.
• Showing up on time for scheduled practice sessions, recitals, competitions, and other events.
• Teaching music theory, helping students sharpen their sight-reading, memorization, improvising techniques, or other student-defined goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree inmusic, music education, or related field.
• Availability to teach at least 8 hours per week; two evenings a week minimum, but more preferred; core hours 4pm to 8pm.
• Strong musical ability, as well as proven skills withyour instrument.
• Previous experience as a music teacher preferred.
• Strong motivational skills.
