University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join its Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery clinic. The SLP will evaluate and treat adults with voice, swallowing, and airway disorders in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting.

The role includes clinical and instrumental assessments, collaboration with fellows and physicians, and opportunities for teaching and clinical research while adhering to best-practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Florida Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure in the state.
• ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility; BLS certification eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adults referred to laryngology services for voice, swallowing, and airway concerns, including history intake and objective measures.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment swallowing evaluations and dysphagia therapy for head and neck cancer patients as applicable.
• Assist in pre-operative education and post-operative care planning for laryngectomy and voice restoration options.
• Maintain documentation per JCAHO standards and FL-ASHA guidelines, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to departmental education and research efforts and may supervise students as appropriate.
