Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Voice Data Communications Technician to install and maintain voice and data infrastructure on-site in Wisconsin. You will work with Teams VoIP endpoints, network devices, and AV systems across campus and plant environments.

You will terminate copper/fiber cables, troubleshoot cabling issues, and assist with office and factory communications layouts. A high school diploma or GED plus field experience is required; lifting and working at heights are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with training in voice/data communications or 3–5 years in the field.
• Basic electrical concepts and low-voltage wiring; ability to read schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights up to 45 feet.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain Teams VoIP endpoints and network devices.
• Install, terminate, and maintain voice/data cables (copper and fiber).
• Repair damaged cabling and assist in office/factory comms rearrangements.
• Install and maintain AV systems in conference rooms.
