The role of the Vocational Specialist is to assist patients at Axis Health System to establish meaningful work activities. The Vocational Specialist works with both individuals and employers to identify employment matches. The Vocational Specialist collaborates with members of the treatment team to assist patients in meeting their treatment goals and obtain and maintain competitive employment.
Starting pay is $20.50 - $21.58 per hour and considers preferred experience and education described above.
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Must be able to travel between Axis Health System locations. Possible exposure to communicable disease. Noise level is usually moderate. Annual Flu immunization, Annual TB screening, de‑escalation training within 90 days of hire, BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
