Seeking remote vocalists for a research project with a leading karaoke app. We\'re collecting vocal recordings to train advanced machine learning models of the human singing voice. This project focuses on capturing the natural, authentic diversity of singing, not mechanical perfection.

Responsibilities

• Remotely record the provided material, including "The Rainbow Passage" (7-minute piece broken into 22 short sections) in 12 different stylistic variations (e.g., breathy, nasal, heavy vibrato).

Timeline & Commitment

• Timeline: The assignment must be completed within 7 days of approval.
• Time Commitment: Approximately 2.5 hours to record after a few hours of practice.
• Payment: Fixed project rate of $250.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Professional singer with experience in vocal variations.
• Fluent in English.
• Professional home recording studio with:
  - Large-diaphragm condenser mic (e.g., Neumann U87)
  - Transparent preamplifier with no coloration
  - Signal chain with no EQ, compression, or effects
  - Dry, balanced acoustics with minimal reflections
  - Conservative gain staging with ample headroom and no clipping
• Ability to record in Pro Tools or Logic Pro X (template session provided).
• Record at 96kHz sample rate and 24-bit depth (32-bit accepted).
• Deliver final files in WAV or AIFF format.
