Job summary

School of Rock Germantown MD is seeking a Vocal Instructor to lead private lessons and rehearsals, delivering a dynamic experience that challenges and inspires students. You will help students learn music and life skills while embodying the energy of rock and roll.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years teaching or performing, solid knowledge of music theory and curriculum design, strong customer relations, and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to engage a wide range of customers and people.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.
• Passion for teaching and developing young musicians.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
