The Gates Chili Central School District is seeking a Vocal/General Music educator for the 2026-27 school year. The teacher will implement district-approved curriculum, document student progress, and support a culturally safe learning environment.
Responsibilities include plan-deliver instruction, collaboration with administrators, and preparation for performances while maintaining records and communicating with families.

Vocal/General Music for the 2026-27 school year
Under the general supervision of the Building Administrator to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, diverse, culturally safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Building Administrator and other District office administrators.

Certification/License: NYS Certification in Music; Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment; Master's degree in related area preferred
Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus; Experience working with a diverse population of students desired
Demands, Hazards: Works in standard office and school building environments.
