Job summary

Musicologie Atlanta seeks a dedicated vocal professional to help students develop healthy technique, expressive musicianship, and confidence in their singing. The instructor will tailor instruction to meet individual goals, experience, and progress, creating engaging lessons and selecting repertoire that supports vocal growth.

You will assess progress, prepare students for performances, and foster a positive, motivating learning environment in a private studio setting.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching voice or performing professionally in vocal music.
• Strong knowledge of vocal pedagogy, music theory fundamentals, and performance practice.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and skill levels.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to student development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or group vocal instruction for students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Teach healthy vocal technique, breath support, tone production, diction, pitch accuracy, and performance skills.
• Develop customized lesson plans based on student goals, experience, and progress.
• Select appropriate repertoire that supports vocal development and musical growth.
• Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, performances, competitions, or exams as needed.
• Foster confidence, discipline, and enjoyment in the learning process.
• Maintain a professional, encouraging, and inclusive studio environment.
• Communicate effectively with students and, when applicable, parents or guardians.
