Job summary

NEFCO is seeking an Account Specialist to manage and grow our VMI program for construction materials customers. You will oversee onsite inventory levels and drive accurate replenishment using barcode, RFID, IoT devices and cloud-based platforms.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in sales, inventory control, or supply chain, with hands-on VMI deployment experience and strong Excel analytics. You will conduct site visits, review performance with customers, and travel to client sites regularly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business / Supply Chain / Construction Management or related field.
  • 3+ years in sales, inventory control, or supply chain, preferably in construction or industrial distribution.
  • Experience with VMI technologies such as industrial vending, barcode scanning, RFID, mobile inventory apps, or ERP-integrated VMI tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software platforms.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to travel to customer sites regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management & Technology Deployment: Establish processes to manage and monitor customer inventory through site visits, scanning tools, and VMI hardware & software.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary contact for VMI customers, ensuring high service standards and accurate replenishment.
  • Sales Support & Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales teams to identify and grow VMI opportunities within key accounts.
  • Operational & System Coordination: Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishments.
  • Data & Reporting: Generate reports on product usage, inventory turnover, and service metrics using VMI software and Excel.
