Job summary

Ameritas is seeking an Assistant Actuary to support the Corporate Actuarial Life Insurance Valuation team. The role focuses on VM-20 valuation, data infrastructure, and governance across life insurance products.

The position emphasizes collaboration with finance, risk, pricing, IT, and external consultants, with hybrid or remote work within the USA. A strong actuarial background and experience with VM-20 are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of life insurance valuation experience with VM-20.
• ASA designation required; FSA strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of Prophet modeling; SQL/Snowflake/Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly statutory and tax valuation for life insurance products under VM-20.
• Partner with the Liability Product Owner to complete valuation tasks and ensure data integrity.
• Serve as SME for VM-20 process maintenance and enhancements; manage data requirements.
• Develop and enhance PBR valuation and reporting tools for management insights.
