Vitreoretinal Surgeon – Open Rank, Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences

Position Summary: The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks an outstanding vitreoretinal surgeon to add to our expanding group. The candidate will develop a busy clinical practice at the UNM Hospital Eye Clinic, share responsibility for on‑call duties, and participate in medical student and resident education. The surgeon will also engage in academic research and contribute to a service that offers a mix of tertiary and indigent care.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a busy clinical practice at the UNM Hospital Eye Clinic.
  • Share on‑call responsibilities with existing faculty.
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical research and clinical trials.
