Responsibilities

At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Vitamin Clerk is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department. Key duties include creating and maintaining department displays; accurately pricing all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs throughout the department; answering customer questions and educating them within the proper parameters; and being familiar with events, seminars, and weekly ad items to guide customers to product locations throughout the store. Successful Vitamin Clerks thrive in a fast‑paced environment and demonstrate enthusiasm for promoting healthy choices.

Team members under the age of 18 have the following restrictions:

• Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
• Using a ladder
• Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
• Operating any motor‑or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
• Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Be dependable and reliable, and be able to work a flexible schedule that may change, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high‑level code of ethics within Sprouts’ culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
• Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health
• Be able to perform repetitive activities, multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., ranging from 4 in. to 72 in. for a distance of up to 3 ft., between 10–50 hours without mechanical assistance
• Able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs., requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hrs, a distance up to 20 ft.
• Be able to walk up to 3 miles in an 8‑hour shift
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations
• Be able to perform other related duties as assigned

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $15.55–$21.30 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
