Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is looking for a Vitamin & Body Care Clerk to maintain the natural living shelves, assist customers, and support sales and customer service initiatives.

• Salary: $14.50 – $16.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of natural living aisles, storage areas, and work areas for safety, including cleaning of shelves, products, keeping floors free of liquid spills or water, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping.
• Stock the department, including presentation of product, facing, filling, and organization of all product items as set by the department schematics, and ensuring tag and pricing accuracy.
• Examine the rotation of all products, paying particular attention to expired stock, discarding outdated or spoiled items, and keeping a code‑date log to clear or trade out product before it expires.
• Respond positively to customer inquiries and assist customers with purchases, information, and product selection, including selling and cross‑selling of products.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
• Monitor point‑of‑purchase signs, ensuring a variety of recipe cards, product coupons, promotional material, and information on items.
• Participate in pre‑inventory preparation, including back stock and ensuring tags match products.
• Sustain a high level of product knowledge and product preparation.
• Walk the department regularly to ensure an organized, sanitary, and overall clean appearance at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in a Vitamin & Body Care department.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.
• Outstanding customer service at all times.
• Ability to adapt to an ever‑changing high‑volume retail environment while working in a cross‑functional team.
• Initiative and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt in a variety of situations.
