Job summary

NBCUniversal in Houston area seeks a Photographer/Editor to shoot and edit news stories for daily network broadcasts. You will collaborate with Producers/Reporters on series and long-form content, manage lighting, and support pre- and post-production tasks to ensure high-quality storytelling.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the field, 2+ years editing, proficiency with Avid and Sony HD cameras, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Photographer/Camera Operator in the field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Editor.
• Proven experience with live transmissions via LiveU, satellite trucks or local microwave.
• Proven proficiency with Avid 6.0 Media Composer and Mac OS.
• Proven proficiency with Sony HD series cameras and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit news and feature stories for daily broadcasts.
• Collaborate with Producers and Reporters on series, reports and long form content.
• Assist Reporters and Producers in pre- and post-production processes.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and ensure quality lighting and shot composition.
• Support live transmissions and editorial decisions under supervision.
