Job summary

La Vie en Rose is seeking a Visual Trainer to develop training programs and strengthen visual merchandising across the U.S. region. You will collaborate with Visual Presentation, Sales and Construction teams to align visual standards with store needs and seasonal initiatives.

You will lead training, adapt planograms for new stores, and coach store teams to deliver consistent brand experiences that drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in presentation design or related field.
  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in visual presentation/visual merchandising.
  • Experience training, facilitating, coaching, or presenting to store teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including outside home market.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Residence ideally Syracuse NY or Novi MI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver visual presentation training materials, workshops, videos and tools with Visual Presentation team.
  • Adapt in-store planograms to optimize shopping experience and profitability.
  • Collaborate on planograms for new stores ahead of openings.
  • Lead store openings by training sales teams.
  • Train and coach Store Managers and Sales teams on visual standards and plans.
  • Provide ongoing in-store and virtual support with clear direction and feedback.
  • Ensure consistent brand image and good cross-store communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and visual merchandising.

Purpose of the Role

The Visual Trainer develops training programs and strengthens the visual merchandising capabilities of store teams while supporting the execution of the company’s visual strategies across the U.S. region. Combining training, coaching, creative problem-solving, and brand awareness, they ensure visual standards enhance the customer experience and drive sales performance. The role partners closely with Visual Presentation, Sales, Construction, and other key stakeholders to adapt visual direction to store needs, support seasonal initiatives, lead store openings and renovations, develop talent, identify opportunities, and leverage sales trends to optimize visual execution and business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver visual presentation training materials, workshops, videos and other learning tools in collaboration with the Visual Presentation team.
  • Adapt in-store planograms to create an optimal shopping experience and thus increase profitability;
  • Collaborate with the visual presentation, sales and construction teams, participate in the development of planograms of new stores in anticipation of their openings;
  • Lead store openings by providing necessary training to sales teams;
  • Train and coach Store Managers, and Sales teams on visual standards, merchandising principles, planogram execution and company visual strategies.
  • Provide ongoing in store and virtual support, offering clear direction, constructive feedback and practical solutions that build confidence and autonomy within store teams.
  • Ensure good communication between the stores and the visual presentation department;
  • Maintain consistency across stores by ensuring that the brand image is well respected;
  • Provide constructive feedback and identify store needs to improve the visual presentation department's processes, training, and procedures.

  • Teaching and communication skills: You share knowledge with clarity and enthusiasm, tailoring training sessions to the specific needs of sales teams and ensuring concepts are understood and applied effectively.
  • Eye for visual presentation: You have a strong sense of detail, aesthetics, and creativity, with a genuine interest in fashion, enabling you to create consistent shopping experiences that reflect the brand image.
  • Collaborative mindset: You enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Construction, and Visual Presentation, to support successful store openings, renovations, and day-to-day operations.
  • Training leadership: You guide, inspire, and develop managers and store teams, equipping them with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to perform effectively and share best practices with others.
  • Retail and business acumen: You leverage sales results, key performance metrics, and store observations to identify opportunities and support informed visual merchandising decisions that drive business results.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills: You build positive relationships, influence stakeholders at all levels, and foster engagement and accountability across teams.
  • Adaptability and resilience: You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, managing multiple priorities, working under pressure, and responding quickly to changing business needs.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Professional Studies in Presentation Design or equivalent;
  • Approximately 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in visual presentation, visual merchandising or a comparable retail environment;
  • Proven experience training, facilitating, coaching, or presenting to store teams;
  • Availability to travel frequently, including travel outside of the employee’s home market when required;
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must be located in ideally Syracuse, New York or Novi, Michigan.
