Job summary

Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to design and implement showroom displays at our San Jose location. Pay ranges from $21 to $24 per hour, with a non-exempt hourly position and benefits for full-time associates.

You will create inspiring displays aligned with design specs and promotional calendars, optimize space, and participate in meetings to stay current with products and trends. A degree in design or related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior retail, interior design and/or display experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current trends in home furnishings, fashion and culture.
• Ability to illustrate ideas with drawing or sketching.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain showroom displays per design specs and promotions.
• Create special displays to promote offers or products.
• Draw sketches to illustrate ideas and vision.
• Optimize store space and layout; keep displays current.
• Maintain showroom, shelves and stockroom for engaging customer experience.
• Set up displays with team support and light furniture assembly as needed.
• Stay up to date with product range and stock levels.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
