Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in video shooting and editing in news or live production.
• Proficiency with industry editing software and newsroom workflows.
• High school diploma required; related degree preferred.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit daily news packages, VOs, SOTs, and lifestyle segments.
• Collaborate with reporters and producers to shape visual stories.
• Set up lighting, framing, and continuity for video shots.
• Operate live microwave and satellite trucks when needed.
• Perform color correction, audio leveling, and graphic integration.
• Ensure content meets FCC regulations and station branding.
• Optimize footage for TV, web, and social media.
• Maintain and troubleshoot video equipment and editing systems.
• Manage media assets using non-linear editing software.
• Participate in editorial meetings to discuss assignments and shot requirements.
