Job summary

Acuren Inspection is seeking an API 510/570 Inspector for operations at a corn/ agricultural plant in Decatur, IL. This embedded position includes relocation and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

The role involves performing visual and nondestructive examinations of pressure-retaining equipment, producing precise client reports, and providing technical recommendations to ensure safe, compliant operation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 certification
• 5–10 years' experience or 2+ years on site experience in related field
• API 653 or CWI a plus
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and NDE of pressure-retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration for safe operation.
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues as needed.
• Guide application of NDE techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed

Position Summary

Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for a API 510/570 Inspector for operations in Decatur IL.(THIS IS AN EMBEDDED POSITION AT A CORN/AGRICULTURAL PLANT)

RELOCATION AND SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES.

Responsibilities

• At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
• Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
• Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client
• Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues
• Provide technical guidance, on a application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
• Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel if needed

Requirements

• Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570
• 5 – 10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience
• Additional API 653 or CWI a plus
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards
• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
