This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. This position reports to a Supervisor of Ophthalmic Operations and will work within a specific section of the Ophthalmology clinic. Ophthalmic skills include: Perform automated and non-automated visual field testing, along with manual lensometry and OCT testing as needed/requested. Obtain study certifications as requested for patient care, stock and clean exam rooms, maintain visual field testing equipment and supplies, comply with Emory healthcare safety guidelines and protocols. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree with a minimum six (6) months experience in an ophthalmic setting. JCAHPO certification preferred but not required. BLS required.
