Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue, part of Exemplar Luxury Group, seeks a Visual Team member to drive in-store presentation and floor readiness ahead of openings. You will implement promotional setups, coordinate with the Visual Manager, and support trunk shows and personal appearance prep.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of visual merchandising experience in a major department store, carpentry and painting skills, and a strong sense for current fashion and art trends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years visual team experience in a major department store.
• Ability to use carpentry tools safely.
• Experience with painting techniques.
• Experience with basic production and materials knowledge.
• Experience in styling and fashion pulls.
• Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends.
• MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate initiative and urgency in selling floor readiness before opening.
• Follow all directives from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team.
• Execute all aspects of promotional and sale set‑up including presentation, lettering, and signage on the sales floor, as well as assist the Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance set‑ups and preparation.
• Assist in replenishing merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units.
• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

What You Will Do

• Minimum of 2 years visual team experience in a major multi‑level department store, possessing a portfolio of previously created projects
• Ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently
• Experienced in painting techniques
• Experience with basic production, knowledge of materials
• Experienced in styling and fashion pulls
• Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends
• Proficiency in MS Office; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, Illustrator is preferred
