Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is building a Strategic Graphic Design team to craft compelling visual presentations for high-stakes disputes and investigations. You will transform complex facts and expert analyses into persuasive visuals for litigation, arbitrations, and strategic communications, working closely with attorneys, experts, and clients.

• Expert PowerPoint and strong Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours.

• Experience in litigation is preferred but not required.
• Portfolio required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Develop demonstrative exhibits, graphics, timelines, presentations, data visualizations, animations, and other visual communication materials for litigation and dispute-related matters to be displayed primarily in court.
• Collaborate with attorneys, experts, consultants, and clients to create persuasive visual strategies that communicate case themes and evidence.
• Simplify complex information into easily understandable graphics on topics ranging from complex technical data to medical illustrations.
• Ensure all visual deliverables are accurate, compelling, and aligned with client objectives and case strategy.
• Support trial preparation, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, witness examinations, and courtroom presentations, often under demanding deadlines
• Travel to client locations, trial sites, and client’s events as needed, sometimes extensively especially when supporting trials.

Job Description

The Vertex Companies is building a strong team of Strategic Graphic Design professionals to support future growth within our Visual Communications practice.

Our Strategic Graphic Design team supports attorneys, experts, Fortune 500 executives and litigation teams by developing compelling visual presentations for high-stakes disputes, investigations, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Working closely with clients and case teams, this professional transforms complex facts, evidence, technical concepts, and expert analyses into persuasive visual communications that strengthen case strategy and improve audience understanding. In addition to litigation matters, the role may support strategic communications, executive presentations, and other high-impact client engagements.

Final Level and title will be determined during the interview and assessment process.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop demonstrative exhibits, graphics, timelines, presentations, data visualizations, animations, and other visual communication materials for litigation and dispute-related matters to be displayed primarily in court.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Information Design, Fine Arts, Communications, or a related field preferred; master’s degree is a plus.
• Expert level experience PowerPoint required; strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other presentation, design, and visualization technologies preferred.
• Flexibility to accommodate long hours, nights and weekends, and travel (i.e. traveling and staying onsite for casework)
• Strong visual communication, project management, and client service skills, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience in the litigation/legal industry preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in professional legal environments and comply with required standards of conduct and business attire for regular courtroom appearances and client-facing responsibilities.
• Current portfolio required for consideration.
