Job summary

Frisco ISD in Frisco, Texas seeks a student for VPAC event production and facility support. You will assist with setup and operation of sound, lighting, video, and rigging for performances and events.

Requirements include being at least 16 years old, currently enrolled in a high school Fine Arts program, and experience with technical theatre equipment is preferred. The position is paid at $15.00 per hour, with days and hours assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist VPAC staff with setup and operation of sound, lighting, video, and rigging.
• Support production roles including stage management and building host.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, visitors, and staff.
• Support campuses and departments with performance and event needs.
• Communicate event needs to the VPAC Manager on Duty.
• Participate in training and certification for equipment use.
• Assist in care and maintenance of facility equipment and inventory.

Primary Purpose

Provide event production and facility support for activities held in the Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC). Assist staff with technical production, event setup, and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification:Minimum age 16
• Current enrollment in a high school Fine Arts program
• Completion of at least one year in a high school Fine Arts program, preferably with experience in technical theatre arts and music equipment setup
• Special Knowledge/Skills:Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow procedures and guidelines
• General knowledge of theatrical light and sound equipment
• General knowledge of theatrical rigging systems
• Knowledge of projection equipment and setup/take-down of equipment for instrumental and vocal music
