Job summary

The University of Denver seeks a Visiting Assistant Rank Teaching faculty member for the Graduate School of Professional Psychology's KINE program. The role is on-campus with a 10-month appointment, teaching undergraduate courses and engaging in service and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral degree in kinesiology or related area, a strong commitment to inclusive pedagogy, and excellence in teaching and communication.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in kinesiology or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate level.
  • Praxis committed to social justice and addressing needs of populations.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Ability to incorporate inclusive course material.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 16 credit hours, mainly undergraduate within KINE.
  • Maintain high teaching standards with pedagogy and technology.
  • Assess student learning and report data for accreditation.
  • Develop field-placement opportunities for undergraduates.
  • Foster students' career and graduate school understanding, including letters of recommendation.
  • Participate in program and college meetings and service activities.
